Pampa

The Walmart in Pampa, Texas is the first real one. No one has a clue what Pampa is or where it's located on the map unless they happen to be from Pampa or the surrounding area. The good folks at CNN tell us Pampa is a small town located 45 minutes outside of the city of Amarillo and has a population of around ten thousand people.

David's kids watch saturday morning cartoons as the McDonald's in Norman, Oklahoma is hit. The news interrupts every station as the death toll reaches thirteen. There are no survivors. Al Quaeda claims responsibility. Norman is the third terrorist target in as many months.

Terror no longer only lurks in the streets of New York or Jerusalem. Words like policy and protocol are replaced by fear and panic. Middle America meets the Middle East. The first target is a Walmart in Pampa, Texas. The second, a Starbucks in San Diego, California. The third, a McDonald's in Norman, Oklahoma. These small targets, in comparison to the World Trade Center, seem to create more histeria throughout the country than any terrorist acts in the entire history of the U.S., Israel, and the Middle East. Are Americans now fully aware and awake?

... This is the beginning of a story I'm going to be slowly writing and updating on this blog. This is also my personal blog, so I'll be writing other things here too. Hope you find the intro intriguing!

Yes, very intriguing... Cool idea for a blog, by the way.

Happy Fourth of July!

Was searching for a related subject and "Pampa" was one of the search terms. This blog was one of the listings.

I live in Pampa and my blog is more-or-less about Pampa and the surrounding area. It's not nearly as serious as this subject matter, though.

I agree 100% with your prediction; there will most likely not be another 9/11, at least not on that scale, but a co-ordinated attack on shopping malls in small towns all across America. Two/three men per mall and in a hundred malls and the death toll could be many times the total on 9/11.
